A new student from Cluny

On 18 September 2017 a new student from Cluny arrived at our faculty – Bc. Quentin Masson. He will be studying the 1st year of master´s programme Industrial Engineering - Double degree with our student Bc. Jan Kolmačka. We hope he will like it and we wish him successful study.

Promotion Campaign in Olomouc

In January 2013, we contacted and visited the Czech-Frech Section of the Slavonic Grammar School in Olomouc as well as the Grammar School of Matyas Lerch in Brno, in the similar way as the year before. We have made a meeting and a presentation of the DD Study and current state of collaboration.





Mobility Project 2012

Guided by their teachers, almost fifty students from the Arts et Métiers ParisTech university, stayed at the BUT Faculty of Mechanical Engineering from 17th November to 1st December 2011 as part of an exceptional programme including lectures and excursions to the faculty‘s foremost departments preparing modern production technologies and excursions to the power generating units.





New DD student from Cluny 2012

In September 2012 came to us a new student of Double Degree study programme, Charles Fortunet. We wish you successful studies!






Cluny European Summer School 2012 (Convention of Young European Citizens 2012)

Two future DD students, Pavlína Trubačová and Jitka Metelková, participated from 5th to 15th July 2012 in the Convention, which has for objective to give to the participants an idea about the EU history and mechanism. Still, the main focus was on the broad discussions among participants, comparing life in each country, opinion on common and different issues and so on. The discussion were very interesting thanks to using whole the 10-days stay both English and French as communication language, but also thanks to the diversity of (not only) nationalities-there were about 50 participants from more than 25 EU countries. The conference was also enriched by lectures and discussion with important people from the EU environment, politics, journalists an so on. And besides other things it helped these two students to get to know the place where they will stay in a year to come, but also local people they met during a day visiting the surroundings of Cluny.






Master Defenses 2012

Two Czech students defended successfully their Masters Theses - Zdenka Ryšavá and Marie Illeová. The final committee was made from specialists of ENSAM and BUT FME IMT and they got degree from each university. Congratulations!

Visit of VIP from Cluny

A common meeting of the Czech and French representatives and student was organized in the days 12th to 13th April 2012 at BUT FME Brno. It was an official meeting with all the collaborating participants and also new students interested in the studies in Cluny. A current state of the collaboration, social and culture background was discussed. The meeting was held in open and friendly atmosphere. Even French students participated in this meeting: Erasmus students from Ensam actually studying at BUT.

In May 2011, the famous Grand Gala took place in Cluny, for the 76th time. It’s a grandiose celebration of the end of studies, covering concerts, fireworks and other surprises for the visitors.

First promotion campaign in Olomouc

A new Moravian territory of interest has been contacted and visited – Slavonic Grammar School in Olomouc in December 2010. We have made a presentation of the DD Study and current state of collaboration, including sharing experience. Also we’ve met with the responsible for the Czech-French section, Mrs. Eva Pavlíčková.






VIP Visit II

A common meeting of the Czech and French representatives and student was organized in the days 3.11.-5.11.2010 at BUT FME Brno. It was a official meeting with all the collaborating participants and also new students who were interested in the study took place here. A current state of the collaboration, social and culture background was discussed. The meeting was held in open and friendly atmosphere. In the afternoon, the meeting joined the Ensam alumni, who have the permanent residency in the Czech Republic. Currently, a promotion campaign for expansion of the collaboration was organized in the Matyas Lerch Lyceum in Brno and Mendel University in Brno.






1100 ans de l'éducation à Cluny

ENSAM Cluny had an unique occasion of the celebration of 1.100th anniversary of education in Cluny. BUT participated in that meeting and took part in many activities linked to the fundings. At the beginning of all, there was a monk called Gunzo and he had a dream that a monastery for education had to be built...

Bachelor Defenses

The first Czech alumni according to the new accredited DD course plans have defended their theses – Ms. Bc. Marie Illeová and Ms. Bc. Zdenka Ryšavá. An appearance of the ENSAM uniform made an impression on all participants and guests of the state exams, however, the level of knowledge was simply excellent. Congratulations!






Easter holidays

This year a new tradition begun on the occasion of Easter - hiking, this time to Šmelcovna. Šmelcovna is a settlement in the valley of Bílý potok in the neighborhood of villages Javůrek and Marsov. Šmelcovna lies about 25 km northwest from Brno. On the way back, we explained and showed to French students some of the Czech spring traditions and other customs.

Open day at BUT FME

VIP Visit I

New technologies for the 21st century

IMT FME BUT Brno organized an international scientific conference on the occassion of 110 years of BUT foundation.
Jean-Philippe Costes, Ales Polzer and Miroslav Piska participated in this activity.






Meeting of DD students

A regular meeting has been organized in BUT with all participating DD students and teachers in November 2009. All aspects of study and social life has been discussed in open and friendly atmosphere.

Comité de pilotage

A new Steering Comitte took place in Cluny in June 2009. An overview of the international collaboration was presented. As a new support of student a summer week stay with accommodation in French families was decided before the study.

Leonard Siclone – a French Ensam Student has visited our faculty as a new forthcoming DD student. He is going to build a special vehicle and travel from Burgundy to the Czech Republic.

Successful completion of studies

Two French students, Amayas Benkaroun and Richard Arnaud, have fulfilled the Double-Degree Diploma successfully. The defence was held before the Joint Commission and they received two diplomas from both universities finally.

Education takes place in small groups that enrolled French ENSAM students, Czech students of Double-Degree Diploma program and students coming from other foreign universities in the frame of Erasmus Programme. Official language is English.

Meeting with French students – April 2009

Meeting with French students at FME BUT in Brno was held day 29.4.2009. Apart of the students French collaborators were represented by Ing. David Prat & Alena Prat. Czech collaboartors were represented by doc. Ing. Miroslav Píška, doc. Ing. Jaroslav Juračka, Ph.D., Ing. Aleš Polzer and Mrs. Marcela Houdková, who is person in charge for foreign study at FME. The main topic of the discussion was the final version of the DD program and an official farewell to the French students. The wish of French students (two classes of the Czech language in the program) was granted. A finantial support for a vehicle and Cluny-Brno Tour was given of Leonard Sielone. Some administrative questions were negotiated also. However, students expressed a good impression from the study in BUT.

Meeting with French students – February 2009

Meeting of French students were held at FME BUT in Brno day 18.2.2009. It was a reception of new coming French students for summer semester. All French students of Double-Degree diploma programme were present, for side Czech head of meeting doc. Ing. Miroslav Píška, CSc., doc. Ing. Jaroslav Juračka, Ph.D., Dagmar Staňková, Zdeňka Katolická and two students Zdeňka Ryšavá, Marie Illeová.
The principle point of meeting was concerned on welcome French students, on explain them how to work with electronic system at BUT and on semestral projects. Meeting was held in friendly spirit.

Austerlitz 2008

Four students (Guillaume Getto, Jean-Raphael Ouin, François Mourot and Pascal Charmette) accompanied by doc. Píška visited the event of Austerlitz 2008. From the 28th till the 30th November 2008 the traditional commemorative event took place at the occasion of the 203rd anniversary of the battle of the three emperors (2nd December 1805). About 1000 re-enactors from many European countries (Czech rep., Poland, Italy, Austria, Slovakia, Germany, Hungary) were participated at the event of Austerlitz 2008 whose main points of program were: the battle re-enactment under the Santon hill, which begun at 15:00 on Saturday, and the Sunday’s act of piety at the Peace monument at noon. Other program took place in many communes of the battlefield. This year the battle commemoration was finishing at the dusk, when the gun fire exhibitions were highlighted. The official ending of the celebration was underlined with tremendous fireworks.

Rencontre avec des étudiants à Cluny

In the end of October 2008, meeting French students, who are interested in Double-Degree Diploma program and students who had chance to spend their study in BUT with representative of BUT doc. Ing. Miroslav Píška, CSc. Took place in Cluny.
It was as usually very friendly meeting, with open atmosphere, where every questions and suggestions of both parts (students, teachers) could be solved.

Intercut 2008

From 22nd to 24th October 2008, Intercut 2008 took place in Cluny. Intercut is international conference concerned with innovative cutting processes and smart machining.
The major objective of this workshop was to join experts and their works, expertises from different domains in cutting process and to develop international interaction.
It was for 1st time for Czech participation in this conference. Next workshop will be organized 21st and 22nd October 2009 in Cluses.

Meeting of two universities in Cluny

From 19th to 24th October 2008, meeting of the representatives took place in Cluny. BUT was represented by doc. Ing. Miroslav Píška, CSc. and French partner by representatives of center of Cluny.
The subjects discussed during this meeting were: detailed study program, quantity of hours and credits, possible adepts for program of Double-Degree Diploma. We had chance to visit some lessons, exercising and laboratories.

Meeting of French students at BUT FME

Meeting of French students was held at FME BUT in Brno on 9.10.2008 in the room C2/301. French participation was made by four students of ENSAM currently studying BUT, furthermore by Mr. Lukáš Vačura - returning Czech student from ENSAM (Paris), Czech students ( Zdeňka Ryšavá, Marie Illeová) and Assoc. Prof. Josef Kliment Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Miroslav Píška, Ph.D., Dipl. Ing. Aleš Polzer, Ph.D., Dagmar Staňková and other visitors from FME BUT.
Meeting was organized according to the programme scheme of FME BUT and ENSAM Cluny for deepening of social and cultural life. Some aspects of the Double-Degree Diploma cooperation and experience with industrial companies have been discussed also.
Meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere and all participants were provided free refreshment, typical for Czech cuisine.






Steering committee

27th June 2008 steering committee took place in Cluny, one centre of AM ParisTech (ENSAM). The representatives from all central and eastern European universities cooperate on Double-Degree diploma program was present.
Programme of this committee was concerned on presentations of universities and suggestion on function of system.
Czech delegation presented “New engineers for cooperation in high efficient industry” grant which was very well accepted, one form of all life carriers, development of meetings and new web site with actual information.

Visit of Mrs. Céline ROUSSEAU

A new visit of Céline ROUSSEAU at the FME BUT has been organized in the days 21.-22.5.2008. The main subject of the visit was presented by detail information about the study at ENSAM (France), Double Degree Diploma and a Summer School for Project Managers. Some representatives of the Faculty of Managements of BUT apart from students and academics from FME have been involved also.

Meeting of French students, teachers of ENSAM Cluny a FME BUT in Brno Historically first meeting of French students, teachers of ENSAM Cluny a FME BUT in Brno was held the 8th April, 2008, at FME BUT, classroom C2/301. The French students were presented by 8 people (now studying in Brno), Mrs. Alena Prat and Dipl. Ing. David Prat,. The Czech group was presented by Dagmar Staňková, Zdeňka Katolická, Dr. Ing. Cihlářová, Assoc. Prof. Josef Chladil, Ph.D. and Assoc. Prof. Ing. Miroslav Píška, Ph.D., as the guarantor of the international project: „New Engineers for International Collaboration in High-Productive Industry“. The main topic was the study on both universities But and ENSAM, social and cultural backgrounds, Double-Degree Diploma and collaboration with the industry. A lot of questions and topics were discussed in an open atmosphere, friendly spirit and a tasty refreshment was served to all participant. A special thanks for it goes to the gastronomical specialists from BUT. We suppose that a similar meeting become as regular and will be a convenient source of information for all students interested in the study at both universities.
